I am really into photography and photo editing...how can I?

I do a lot of photo editing on my new computer, I love playing with them and making them look really cool but when I go to print them they always turn out looking different that on screen...Is there a way to make my screen show them more accurately?? Its called calibrating, I think...So can anyone tell me how(preferably without buying or downloading software or something like that...) Thanks
