I am paying off a wage garnishment soon, do I have to do anything to stop...

...the payments? Okay, so I f**cked up on some bills and ignored all the collection letters and stuff like that. I made a mistake and did not contact the people I owned and all that. But that's not the point here. The point is I have had a wage garnishment taken out of my paycheck for almost a year now, and the bill is almost paid off, and I can start planning on getting my life back to what passed for normal, with a lesson well learned. My question is, when I reach the magic moment and the debt is erased, does the garnishment automatically stop, or do I have to tell the court, the creditor, and my employer to stop taking the money out of my paycheck, I'm all legally paid up?
