I AM PAINTING MY ROOM THIS WEEKEND WHAT COLOR TO PAINT IT?

I have no clue what to paint my color. Right now its this kinda light khaki/vanilla ice cream color. I want the color to match my bed room suite which is dark brown wood. My floor is kinda tan color. But my parents dont like light colored carpet because we grew up with dark green carpet so they are changing the carpets later this year maybe dark green. Also my comforter set is dark green and black right now and the next color comforter I am getting will be red :D

So what color should i paint my room.

Also can you have a different colored carpet than the rest of the house in one room because i may not want green carpet.
