I am weary of buying a bike from Walmart etc....I've heard bad things about buying from super stores. However the bike shop near me is pretty expensive I believe the cheapest bike there is about 350 and what are the odds of me actually getting that specific bike? I was thinking of getting one used. I don't know anything about bikes so I figured some experts here could help me out. I don't know how much you might be able to tell from an ad but maybe you can from the brand....here is a list of some bikes I found. I live in Central Florida so if anyone knows where I can get a decent bike in that area. I plan on riding this thing often, me and the hubby plan on riding but he doesn't know much about bikes either so we are both looking for ourselves. So really forking out near a 1000 for two bikes is just not going to happen at this time. That is why we are looking into used. Is it really a bad idea to get a bike from a super store? I mean the hubby knows that much lol. We both just want to be more active and be a little more green. It would also be a bonus to tone up a bit...I'm about 20 pounds overweight so I also figure it would help shed those pounds. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure there is a great used bike out there somewhere. I suppose we could always get new bike on credit but we would prefer to just get something we can just pay for in full. I've heard these are good brands (Trek, Raleigh) Most of the ones below are from them so the prices are they also worth it?
