I am looking for the best bluetooth for my smartphone, I need suggestions!!!?

I recently had a planitronics, and there was so much static I returned it, got a new one, and it did the same thing. NOT a good fit. So, then I went today and bought a Jawbone Era, the salesman said it was the BEST. I bring it home, charge it up, am super excited and go to use it. My friend answers the phone, and can hear me fine for about the first seconds, and then cannot hear me at all. I need some suggestions PLEASE
