Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

Hope this is what your looking for. It hold two meanings just so you know.

Can anyone give me me a poem that is deep and stands up for our Earth? Or it could be an enjoyable speech. I want something factual, yet emotional. It could be the lyrics to a song, or a link, or something you wrote yourself. Just i want to say it in a speaking contest so i don't want something that drags on and on. Thanks to anyone who can help! :-D
