I am not sure but i think they are mills and boon or harlequin.
The first book is about and 11 or 12 year old girl whose father is a gambler and dies. I think the girl's name is Jenny. Anyway the 30 year old man who owns the hotel adopts the girl. I think his name is steve. When she is 19, jenny leaves boarding school and goes to Las Vegas to visit steve. while she's there she meets Rex a pop singer and uses him to make steve jelous. In the end they get married.
The second book is about a woman who finds a young girl hiding under a table at her sister's house. She finds out that the girl belongs to a man whose sister and husband died and left him two girls and two boys. The heroine loves kids and takes the little girl to feed her and sits on the swing with her until she falls asleep. At some point in the beginning of the book she refers to him as Tom Sawyer because he likes to go barefoot. They get married to prevent some family member from taking the children. In one scene toward the end of the book, the heroine get drunk while waiting for the hero and passes out because she thinks he's with his mistress.
I hope that you can help me find these books.
