I am looking at buying a gsxr 600 is it a good bike?

I am thinkig about geting one but am not sure. Its a 1998 gsxr 600. It is blue and white and has 30,000 miles on it. It was dropped but very light damage was done. The bike is $2200 but i think i can get it down to $1900. Im 6 foot and 17 I ride an LTD 700 now. Will this bike be good for me? Is it a good bike and is it a good price?
 
it should be good for you check the clutch cable it would try and only give him 1800 for it sounds good it is a very good bike
 
If it was dropped, and been inspected by a mechanic you work with I would accept it has light damage. If not you don't know that. 30,000 miles is a ton of miles for that kind of bike since they are not babied by the rider. Has it always been meticulously maintained with receipts showing that? If it hasn't I would walk away from it. Just a big headache otherwise. There are tons of GSXR's that don't have that kind of mileage on them for sale.
 
the GSXR 600 are great bikes and suzuki's are reliable as far as parts and motors are concerned! yes that's a good price, but i would not offer that much maybe 1100$ or 1200$ because high miles and some damage! remember always wear a helmet and protect your head! hands also its the first thing you will put down when you crash ( not if ) the 600 R will be alot faster than your LTD
