I am looking at buying a plain 1987 Buick Regal. It has the stock non-turbo 3.8. I wanted to make it into a turbo Regal. Is the stock 3.8 the same engine block as the turbo 3.8? I don't want to change the emblems I just want to make it turbocharged. Is the engine, transmission, and rear end the same for all 1987 Regal's? I know I will need to add the turbo and all that plumbing? Would it be cheaper to find a nice used turbo Regal? Is the fuel injection system the same on both the turbo and non-turbo 3.8? Any other advice would help.
