Just wanted to let everyone know that I got home on Thursday, January 31st. I believe the surgery went well and I so have quiet a bit of pain but that was to be expected. The surgery lasted for 2 1/2 hours. They didn't get me up until the day after the surgery which was the 30th. I am scheduled to go back in on Tuesday, Feb.12th, and they will do the fusion. I had a really bad day yesterday and nothing would help the pain. I am sleeping mainly in my recliner alsthoug husband thinks I should get in the bed. The doctor told me that there was only 1/8th on an inch between the discs and that I was very lucky. He still cannot tell me about the osteoporosis because he will be able to tell more about it when he goes in through the back. I want to thank all of you for your prayers. I will try and get back sooner.

Hugs
Linda

Linda, I am glad that you made it thru th surgery and are at home. Rest up and please know that we are here for you.

I am glad you are doing good was worried about you. My surgery was pushed back till March 14 cause they finally said they will do the 360 (anterior and posterior) and they have to get both teams of doctors together.

Will be praying for you all the way.

Linda,

Hi Linda,
I'm so glad you're home and did well with the first phase. Take it easy for the next week and a half. Do you have any restrictions between now and the actual fusion?

I hope you'll be able to keep your pain under control. It's normal to have ups and downs with that. If you're feeling a little better, don't let up on your regular dosage. It's best to keep the meRAB in your system all the time for now. That tenRAB to give better overall pain control.

Post when you can and let us know how you're doing.

Feel better!
Emily
