The bike starts up fine, but it cannot idle without some help from the throttle. Playing with the choke cable does nothing. I checked the choke cable and that seems to be connected to the engine and working properly, but nothing happens when you adjust it. It has been sitting in the garage for the winter, and ran fine a couple of months ago. When I went to take it out the other day I encountered this problem. The bike runs fine, but only with added pressure from the throttle, and will occasionally spike to 4,000 or 5,000 rpms when held at a constant throttle. What is wrong? Do you think I should try jetting the carbs?
