I just rebuilt my toyota engine and I am having problems keeping it running. I can get it running if I prime it then it seems it runs out of gas. I have checked the fuel pump and the fuel filter. I have replaced both. I have replaced the coil, igniter, rotor and cap on the distributor. I have new plugs and have new wires. Like I said if it starts it runs until it runs out of gas. I have new gas in the fuel tank just can't seem to get the timing right. I used the static timing advice from Les and it is static timed. I want to get it running so I can put the timing light on it. I have a new battery and it is always charged. Am I overlooking something? It is a 1984 toyota tercel 3AC engine.
