I am having an "already started" screeching noise when I try and start my car.?

Hi everyone, I just replaced the motor in my 1988 Chevrolet Cavalier and when I try and start it, it is screaching like the car is already running. I replaced the flywheel and clutch and made sure that the flywheel was aligned properly before putting the trans back on. It was working perfectly before the engine blew up. Is there something I am missing, perhaps I put the positive on the negetive and the negetive on the positive when I wired the starter? ANY help will be appriciated.

Starter position or flywheel problem.

check that all belts are tight and the should only have 2 cm of movement if you push between 2 wheels

they might need replacement also
