I am getting my permit but then my dad said he wont let me use his car so how

will i practice i dont have mom? i am getting my permit in January but my dad said he wont let me practice in his car for some reason he thinks i will be like my mother and screw up his car but i am not like her for that he wont trust me for that but other then that he trusts me for everything else
