derailleurs seem fine...? i should say that it spins, but not when you spin the pedals. It's not just that the chain is off because the gears move when the pedals are turned. I think there might be something wrong with the back sprockets or the wheel itself.

help?

thanks

with chain on rear cassette spins when you turn crankarm! the pauls in the freehub body( where the cassette slides on to the back wheel) are done. you should be able to replace depending on model. or it may be cheaper or close to same$$ to replace whole rear wheel.

take the back wheel off and check if the screws spin. i know it might sound weird but trust me. If your sprocket is messed up the screws will not spin. It might just be the bearing. take it all apart and check

It could be your freewheel. The thing that makes the "ticking" noise. It's not too expensive to replace just the freewheel...but if you need a new hub/wheel, that costs more. Go to a shop and they'll look at it. You need special tools for that.
