I am curious as to which bullet I should use...?

I am going to purchase a .22-250 for varmint hunting. I know this gun is not supposed to be used on whitetail deer, but given the chance what bullet should a person use? Most of my shooting takes place within 100 yards when I am hunting whitetails. The only reason I am asking this is because whitetail season and coyote season are in effect at the same time.

I have a friend who shoots a 22/250 and he uses 80 to a 100 grain and he kills a lot of deer with it highly accurate. good luck
