I am considering putting a 3:73 posi rear end in my truck is it going to kill...

...my mileage? I have a 1994 Chevy C1500 1/2 ton 2 wheel, with a 4.3 v6 and a 4L60-E and i want to put a posi 3:73 in, is this going to totally kill my mileage? i get between 17-18 mpg as of now but i need the posi and i figure, if im going to tear it apart so i might as well do the gears at the same time... any help will be appreciated
