I am catholic and started to read the bible is there any particular way to read ?

Hi I just started reading the bible NRSV catholic edition an I've started front to back starting with Genesis I would just go to church but its hard considering I've been in a car accident really its no excuse but its hard an I read a bit every night shud I jump back an fourth between the old an read a couple pages an new a couple pages every night help is greatly appreciated
