I am buying a new specalized bike, does anyoneone know the difference?

I'd go for the rock hopper and maybe some urban tires if I had to choose between it and a hybrid. If you already have a rockhopper: Why dont you just get a road bike like an alez?

I need a daily commute, i play off road a bit and do on road training at the weekend and worse of all, the wife wants to borrow it!

Do i go for the unbreakable rockhopper, or get the slightly more girly hybrid that 'says', it can do everything?

PS. I already own an '07 model rockhopper and i am very happy with it.
