I am buying a car and I need help deciding which to go for. A used lincoln or new Kia?

The Kia is a brand new 2012 Sorrento SX for $40,250, 14km, while the Lincoln is a 2010 MKT for $40,500 and has 16,000km. We like the lincoln because of the feel, weight and looks. It even looks and feels new. The Sorrento drives as a new car should but feels kinda rough on some roads. Please any car gurus out there? What should we do. My wife loves the Lincoln but questions why she should buy used for 40k
