I have some old component laying around.
xfx 630i
[First time building a Media Center)
i purchased a e5300 (dual core processor [pentium])
Since it has a nvidia chipset i will decided to go with either a 9600gt or 9500gt.
My question is if i want to watch blue-ray movies (i have a blue-ray optical drive) I believe i could purchase the Pure-Video add-on (by NVIDIA) to integrated with Windows Media Player wich would lead the Nvidia card to play the Movie and leading to less cpu utilization and therefore less stuttering. However I already have various Windows machines (Laptop/other PCs), so i really want to use MythUbuntu or another Linux Distro. Is there such a thing as a program or video player in linux that utilizes the Graphic card when watching movies (specifically blue-ray movies).
