all major repairs? I hve finally given up on my '97 Saturn after pouring lots of money into it for repairs. To avoid having this happen again, I want to make sure all major repairs are covered under the warranty when I buy a new car. What all should be included in the warranty?

If it's a brands new car (or a certified pre-owned) everything will be covered under the manufacturers warranty. If it's a fairly new used car it may still be covered under the original manufacturers warranty.

If you are purchasing a used car and shopping for a service contract you need to be careful. Most full coverage contracts are extremely expensive and not worth the money (in my opinion). You'd be better off investing that money and risking a major breakdown.

You have to shop around for a reputable company that offers a good product at a reasonable price. Don't just assume the service contract the dealer is offering you is the only one available.

You also have to be careful to make sure the warranty you are buying is accepted where you get your car serviced. Many shops won't work with 3rd party warranty services and the claims process is very hard to work through. many repairs they claim are covered when you purchase thepolicy won't be when it comes time to pay for repairs. These companies seem to always have an excuse for denying your claim.
