I am desperate actually. I dont really know if anyone can help. I have some symptoms and I dont actually know what the hell is going on with me and its kind of scary.
I have been suffering from terrible fatigue, I did get the a really bad cold just before Christmas and collapsed with it on an outing with my sisters, this is a first for me.
Anyway, I had abdoman pain, high up, right sided, nausea, severe weight loss, sweating, dizzyness, palpitations and I couldnt relax, I also noticed a change in bowel movements, they were loose, pale, appeared shredded, but this isnt constant. I had bouts of excruciating pain similar to that of gall stones, I had my gall bladder out last year.
So the doctor sent me for blood tests, they found that I had hyperthyroidism, high liver enzymes and promised to do more tests. I had a thyroid scan and a liver scan. The liver scan came back fine the thyroid showed multinodular goitre, I was started on anti thyroid drugs, told to book in to see an endocrine specialist.
My main problem is pain, well fatigue is tough but the pain is terrible, why am I getting gall stone pain without a gall bladder? I went back to the docs, she asked to see me and I told her so then she thought I might have an ulcer so I had one of those camera things down but they didnt find anything. I told the hosptial doctor about what was happening, she said stones can form in the ducts. She had a look at my liver results and said they were very abnormal and wanted a repeat that day. I had a postal appointment for next week. My weight is still going down, not as much as before though.
My reason today for registering and posting is this dreadful dirrhoea, its not all the time, its pale, water with bits, I cannot control it, so I am becoming bowel incontinent and its worrying the hell out of me. I used to have normal bowel movements, fairly regular, now its about 15 timss a day some Ok firmish, some float, most are very pale, the last two hours non stop water. I cant go to work tomorrow, I dont think I will cope, the same thing 10 days ago. It seems to happen every now and again. Is there any condition that explains all I am suffering? Someone mentioned PBC but I havent a clue what that is. I havent actually got round to organising an endocrine specialist appointment yet, I will soon, we have just had a death in the family and I was preoccupied, plus I want the tummy thing sorted out first and foremost. I dont think I am getting symptoms from the thyroid disorder, well apart from the weight loss.
I am seriously considering ending my locum post, I have had enough, its pure hell and after about 2 oclock I have to push myself to get to the end of the day.
I have been digustingly healthy all of my life apart from very suspicious cervical smear results that lead to a radical hysterectomy when I was 31. I have a good diet, full of friut and vegetables, meat, low fat. I have a bmi of 24, no other medical problems.
I am sorry its such a long post, I am actually a forum virgin, never done anything like this before, I was on a symptom checker and found this. All I got from the symptom checker was a parisite infection, I doubt that, I never go abroad. Although with that said, time and time agian, it came up with liver disease, so I am just wondering if its all connected.
Thanks for listening, or reading your thoughts would mean a lot to me.
Cheers now
