I am a beginner photographer... what do you think of my pics?

Any tips and constructive criticism from people who are good at photography (or learning like me) would be great!
I just found my dad's 20 year old canon eos 650, I was very impressed w/ the camera's quality! We haven't used it for about 10 years...
I edited some pics for fun on free online editing system.

let me know what i could change,and if you like the original better or the edited one
 
The black and white of the Kitty with her/his green eyes was beautiful.
The fruit neither was very good,they dont look like X-mas fruit at all.It looked like and orange,apple,hot pepper and a bit radish.
The jumping horse would have been better if you would have known what you were focusing on. The woman,the horse or the jump. You needed to go over the fence for the jumper so that the horses hooves can be seen leaving the ground.
