I am a 16 year old girl in a relationship with a 22 year old guy?

We've been together since i was 14 year old, he was 20. I am in love with him and he is too. he is a very nice guy and we went out every weekend and we were in contact 24/24 through sms texting except when we went to sleep! but the one thing is that i never told my parents about it at the beginning. i just told him that there was this guy and FULL STOP. I didn't dare to tell them though i've never did anything wrong and never had sex with him we only shared kisses. he is loyal and a good friend as well. One day my guy decided to call my dad cause i've been living with pain everyday for hiding away my relationship with him from my parents(though they knew that i went out with him but never commented) i never had the guts to talk to my dad about him and he never did. so my guy decided to help me and call him and invite him to a cup of coffe, when he did my dad told him that he has so much work and he'll call him back (he was out with his friends so u can say he ditched him politely). and the very next day my dad went to my guy's dad and asked him to keep his son away from me!! when my dad got home we had a huge fight then when we calmed down my dad told me that i have to end it so i went to see the guy and he started crying right in front of me ! and telling me how much he hates his life. I went crazy over my dad. he even said that he was a very nice guy but not good for marriage after few years! and he said if he knew anything going on between me and the guy he will hurt him! i am suffering and in pain now. why did my dad do that? why didn't he ever spoke to me about it?
