I am 17 and want to buy a Suzuki GSX-R 1000 for my first street bike.?

i know everyone says this is suicide, BUT i have been riding dirt bikes for almost 11 years and went from an RM 80 to a YZ 125 and now am riding a KX 500. I ride in the desert almost everyday for almost an hour and am a very experienced rider. I do believe i could handle the gsxr 1000 but would like some opinions on the matter. Thanks
 
Ask in the motorcycle section, this is for bicycles. At 17 a 1000 cc bike insurance is going to be very expensive. The insurance company could care less that you ride in the desert every day.
