Advice? Thoughts? I am a 12 year old female, turning 13 in a month and a half. Ever since I was, er, 11, I wanted to join the military. I mean, like, when I'm 18 I want to go to the army. I only told my closest friends this. For some reason, I feel like this is one of my biggest secrets. Why? I don't know. My parents don't even know about my decision. I'm scared of what they'll say, or think. One of my close relatives is in the army, and I don't know if that's reflecting my choice.

I keep seeing more and more army and marine commercials everyday, it seems like they want, er, not want, need more soldiers.
Wow, as I am asking this, a marines commercial came on.

I mean, the army is one of the choices of what I want to do with my life. I mean, it's the number one choice of what I want to do. Other things I want to do is like photography, author, or public speaker. I know those are odd career choices. But still.

Is this normal? I mean to want to go to the army at age 12? I'm so confused. Lately I've been thinking so much about this situation. Help? Advice? Concerns? Anything, at all? Comments?
Oh and my uncle also is going to the army, well he's thinking about it, really seriously. He's over 40, too.
