I added a photo to my iPod Touch and set it as my background...?

But after I selected the picture for my background, my iPod Touch background hasn't changed? ...Actually, I'm not seeing any background on it at all. . .? How do I view the background on my device? It's possible I didn't set it correctly.. :/ Can anyone help?
