It seems back in October I really did fuck up my knee. I went to the orthopedic surgeon today and was told he'll have to go in and fix a torn meniscus or something. Joy supreme.
I actually am falling apart.

I had the same surgery a few months ago. Did they MRI you yet? My ortho said that some cases can be treated with medicine.
That depends on how bad the tear is. Mine was end to end, so there wasn't much he could do beyond shaving the flap off. My knee will probably never be as strong as it was before.

He said that with as clear as my x-rays are, sometimes they do them with an MRI beforehand, and sometimes the MRI doesn't show anything and they'll end up having to scope it anyways. I asked his opinion on what looked most probable in my case and he suggested skipping the MRI and going straight into the surgery. I can't say as I disagree, as I'd think a first hand account of what's in there would be better than some sort of computer do-hicky scan.
