Evolution proposes that changes occur in a species and the ones that make the species better, stronger, better adapted to the environment survive giving the entire species a better chance of carrying on.
If this is so, then don't our laws forbidding violence against one another hinder the survival of the fittest? It seems that these laws protect the weak from being eliminated thus increasing the probability that the species will become extinct.
I realize that laws are neccessary for civilization to exist but so what? That doesn't mean that we're better off. After all, isn't it those who are really smart the ones that are and have invented things which have caused the planet to be more an more polluted every day?
Maybe if we just went back to "survival of the fittest" the planet would survive as well as our own speicies.
