HUAWEI E5830 Unlock *HERE*

Using qmat and looking for the unlock code did do the trick.
1. Check the first post in this thread to get the qmat file.
2. Open it in a hex editor (like hexedit.exe) and find bytes 32 F4 02 32 F5 49.
3. The unlock code will stare you in the face (8 digit number, look at the ascii site of things )
4. Use the virgin unlock tool to enter the code, and kaboom - unlocked
 
Sorry for the problem! Thanks to andy I sorted out a nasty bug.
(No harm done!)

Redownload the unlocker.

Now it works 100%. Tested by andy himself.

If the program gives you COM error, close WIFI MANAGER and click unlock again.
 
Instructions:

Download any (old) version of QMAT.

Select the Application port of the E5830.

To test if you got the right port, send the "00" version command.

You should receive:

Then select: Read EFS and flag "Alternative Method".

If anybody knows how the "alternative method" works I can make an all in one program.

Have a look! *************************************I ditched Delphi7 in favour of Delphi 2010 and voila'... everything worked.

A little more of testing, then the program will be 'somehow' released

pls i want to unlock a e226 huawei modem pls anyone with any idea of any software or au i can open it because i have used firmware, qmax, hex editor and the Modem Unlocker to try to unlock it and it did not work.
