I bought it online yesterday, it's regular price is $240 and some store sell it for $300 and there was a 75% sale.

I've had a CHI but it broke, I was thinking of getting a new one but it didn't have a heat control thing anyway.

Does it look like it might work well?
 
Looks say nothing.
Something can look really sleek and elegant, but may work poorly.

Just try it on your hair, see how it works. If it doesn't, exchange it. I've heard that Folica has a good exchange/return policy, so it's nothing to worry about.

Oh and, NEVER get a CHI unless you have super coarse hair. It doesn't have a heat dial, which means it's only suitable for very very very very coarse hair.
