I do not know if this helps, I have no idea because I link pages within a domain, I have several Sub domains, each with individual pages all linked in. I d made and published the pages, but used no coding of any kind to do so.

It is a programming trick I learned in the forum on my web host site. I would tell you who it is, but since this is a forum for our server system, Which works quite differently than yours, I do not think it would work for you
