Html doesn't work on tumblr page?

I made a page specifically for nformation regarding my sponsors and advertising on myblog. However, normal html doesn't seem to want to work even when I click the ''html'' link to edit it by hand.
Simple things like <br> wont show up no matter how hard I try.
 
whatever you want to put in, copy the link of what you want and put it in the info (description) box, it worked for me ... https://www.tommy04.tumblr.com
