Html code, positioning question?

I am building a website and the page im working on is kindof the intro page, and i want to have it all inside a box centered on the page going vertically down the page. But heres my question if i put the header, then a picture below it and center them both. Can i make the picture automatically resize and reposition itself to stay centered no matter what size the viewers browser window is?

If so what would be the code for it?
