HTML: Center and top align an image?

I decided that I wanted to make a website, and I want the top banner to be aligned to the top, and also centered. My HTML skills are pretty mediocre, needless to say. I can't find a CSS code on the internet that will allow me to have the banner both aligned to the very top (no gap) and to the center, and when I try to mix codes of the two, one of them stops the other from working.

Could anybody show me what the code would be? Or direct me to an appropriate tutorial?
