HTC Wildfire - Should I buy and data usage?

Hi,

I want to buy an HTC Wildfire.

Firstly, it is any good and basically should I buy it?

Secondly, will 500mb of data be enough - i'll be using wi-fi whenever i'm at home and I'll mainly be updating Facebook statuses etc while i'm out so will 500mb be enough per month?
