htc touch

The process should be exactly the same as the Mogul, aside from installing a new ROM. Getting around IOTA is going to be a lot more difficult on this one, as it's not available for any other carrier that I'm aware of.

So: it'll be easy to get it working with everything except for incoming MMS.

Im hopefully getting one soon along with the voyager, but i just talked to my friend about and he says it sucks. There really aren't alot of features built into the phone.

i tried getting wap to work but i guess ill need another rom cuz it keeps trying to connect to sprint vision. i even soft resetted before it did the customizations. i thought that might keep the sprint stuff off it but i guess it didnt. i havent tried mms yet.

Yeah that's probably the problem. Whenever that program is run, it reverts all of the settings you t to Sprint's default settings. When it's in the startup folder, it starts whenever the phone starts, stopping you from making any customizations. So:

1. Delete /Windows/Startup/HTC_GUARD
2. Soft reset
3. Configure Cricket's settings

That's weird... looks like they might have some other process keeping Sprint's settings in place. If you grab the Triangle Powers task manager and list all of the processes that are running, I might be able to tell you which one is the culprit. I'm not sure whether anyone will be able to come up with a fix until they get their hanRAB on one, however...

http://www.trianglepowers.com/PPC/ViewApp.aspx?ID=5 is the download link if you care to go through that trouble. I'm hoping to get my hanRAB on one of these pretty soon, so maybe I'll be able to help out...

ok i ran the triangle powers and i found all the .exe's its showing

NK.exe
filesys
services
device
gwes
shell32
htcStartMenu
cprog
connmgr
Taskmgr
QuickDial
poutlook
repllog
HTC_CM_Guardian
MediaHubMini
APLauncher
Biotouch

i also saw the HTC_CM_Guardian in the windows folder. any help?

You wont be able to delete it if its runing so kill the process then go to the windows folder and delete...

Check the registry... Somewhere in there is allowing it to startup at startups

What I would do is kill the process, then do a search for all files named HTC_CM_GUARDIAN and delete any files or shortcuts that it finRAB. Then, even if it is being set to startup with the system, it won't be able to because it doesn't exist.

ok that didnt work. i went and killed it from the triangle powers, then went to search for HTC_CM_Guardian and it found no results. then i tried deleting it from the windows folder but it dont let me delete it. what else should i try?
