htc surround is not responding?

i cannot send or get sms messages, when i open the msg hub it doesnt show any of my conversations and when i touch create it goes back to the home page. when i try to open people hub it says loading and then goes back to the homescreen. i turned it on and off many times and had the battery out for 10 min and nothing. help, i dont have insurance
