After having my HTC touch for about 10 months one day it froze up on the startup screen after trying a few other options I did a HARD RESET dumping everything on the phone, ever since doing this my reception on it has been horrible, I never had any issues in areas where now it is hit and miss (mostly miss) I know nothing has changed with the service area because my girlfriend I live with has the exact same phone and provider and her phone has been fine...
