I just got my refurbished htc pure working with wi-fi today by following the instructions in the manual and now a few hours later after i've synced it with my comp i go to click on the att wi-fi icon to use it again and this message comes up:
please turn off your wi-fi connection and download the at&t wi-fi application over the 3g network, then complete the one-time set up to get automatic access to at&t wi-fi on your smart phone.
also the opera browser says opera coming soon at the top of the browser when it does that.
I dont understand why i need to download the application if it was working before. shouldn't that mean I've already got the application. I never downloaded it it just worked when I used it after i connected to a wi-fi in home.
I have the 200mb data plan and not sure if i can download anything with it.
I am new to smart phones so keep in mind i will need step by step instructions on how to solve this myself otherwise i might just have to take it to an att store for help.
