htc hotspot for home internet use?

I want to buy the sprint htc evo 4g primarily for the hotspot feature. Does anyone know if its possible to use this as my internet provider? I plan on cancelling my internet service and using the hotspot as internet service for my home.

This should save me money, only if it works and there's no limit from sprint as to what data usage is allowed - UNLIMITED PLAN for $99 means UNLIMITED right?
