HTC Hero vs Samsung Omnia II vs Nokia N97 Mini

Stuck between these 3 phones.

Price is still the first concern.

What I want or need:
  • Good Battery Life (3G)
  • Good Resolution
  • Display size must be large enough to not hurt the eyes
  • User friendly UI
  • a good grip
  • doesnt dent/ damage internally easily if dropped
  • Wi-Fi must be easy to connect
  • Memory, large RAM
  • Processor is very important. need it to run several demanding apps. at the same time

It would be nice if it had a great camera, both picture and video
Same with FM Transmitter

I can get the following phones for this price currently (without taxes):
$569.99CAD

Name other phones too if you have another suggestion

Same, if you know of better prices

omnia 2, its really slow on the installs touchwiz, just dont run it and put either TF3D or spb shell or even jsut run the wm titanium.
for everything u said, it does.
best battery life ive ever had
3.7 wvga amoled great daylight brightness
its comfortable to hold
again with TF3D spb shell or titanium, are all pretty finger friendly
not sure about dropping, although i have dropped it a few times when i first got it and its fine
wifi connects very easily and well
ram is just ok, could use more but not that limiting
800mhz cpu? :)
multitasks very well, just set your temp folder to the my storage.

this phone requires some tweaking to get it to work at 100%

Everyone I talked to with the HTC Hero is very happy with it. Its one of the best smartphones out there outside of the iPhone-DROID duo.

The Samsung Omnia II has real meat in it, but their smartphone market is slipping underneath their feet---they sell less than half of HTC the last quarter. That's why they're pushing a new OS of their own called Bada, probably Linux based with TouchWiz on top of it. I don't think Samsung really has their "heart" in it for WinMo, although too early call for Android.

Invest on something with a future.
