HTC Hero PST settings!!(Cricket Data Settings)to get WEB to work

So I took a longass time to freeakin get
web on stock browser app or other browser working thanks to bad PST settings and crickets dumass proxy use but finally got them right As I searched around forums I noticed a lot of people struggling with the same issue and decided I should HELP all of youu so if you are struggling with the PST settings here are the ones I used

If you are trying to get web working I suggest heading to the tutorial provided at - http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1609821&highlight=hero+flash post #8 and using this settings for the "setup your data" part

This will work for people who where:
-just trying to look for some PST goddies to get WEB
- getting the little crappy waiting for standby connection blah blah something like that when looking at the Mobile Network Status
-all the people who didnt know what to do with the "setup your data " part at the tutorial on how to do a full flash (heres the link if you want it and where dumb enough to not notice it a few lines up not being rude to anyone - http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1609821&highlight=hero+flash post #8)

allright now that im done talkin and bla bla blaing and bs lets get the party started:

Slot Cycle Index:0 can leave as default but changing this to 0 will let you get messages and calls faster

Home Orig:Voice 13k also can leave as default but voice 13k is way better than EVRC or anything else
Roam Orig:Voice 13k
LBS PDE IP: Blank
LBS PDE Port: BLANK
Home Sys Reg:enable
Foreign SID reg:enable
DDTM:disable
Home SID/NID#1:4139/65535

so after setting your PST settings click menu>commint modifications
let the phone restart,, after restart you should get the little 1x at the status bar of your screen if it doesnt appear check the status of Mobile Network if its off turn it on if its on and you should get the 1x on the status bar

also if like me your trying to get web to work download anycut or
better cut anycut is free to me both are the same. So open up any of the two and make a shortcut of proxysettings by going into activity (wait since its trying to get all activities) than look for proxy settings all the way at the bottom,, after that click on the shortcut that you made from anycut/bettercut and for hostname write: wap.mycricket.com and for Port write :8080

iv been reading ,and reading .finally a thread on my problum. iv been getting standbye connecting and and it dosent connect .iam going to try this tonight.i will post results.and ty ty ty.
 
i have done everything still not getting 1X .i think i might have found the problum,but dont know how to fix it.in cdma workshop when i read phone info it has my msid as my # number .i dont know if it should be that or not.i tried to change but couldnt. next thing it might be,and this might be happing from the step above.in qpst under ppp config tab i choose um tab and change my user name and password to [email protected] and do the same for an.everything is good i wright it to phone.then i follow the rest of the steps but get no 1x .so i started from the beging of all the steps but when i get to the step above ppp config its got my msid number there instead of what i changed it to.ty
 
sorry yes the password is just ,"cricket"in cdma on phone info it has my msid as my phone number.is this suppoded to be like that.if not how do i go about changing it to my phone number.ty
 
yes just like jameslee522 said the password in the username should be cricket on both UM and AN also definately change the MSID to the right MSID number,, you can do that by on your phone dialing ##3282# ,, it will take you directly to PST settings go on edit mode and under advanced there you will find MSID you can change it right there from your phone,, after that done,, click menu the commit modifications and you should be set for ur 1x
 
Are you sure you have the proxy setup, if it isnt setup wap isnt going to work. I have my mobile ip profile setup as my phone number.

You may try searching for QPST 2.7 add the port of your phone in qpst config, highlight it, click start clients on the tool bar, click service programming.

assuming you have your spc set to zeros click read from phone

click on MIP tab change mobile ip behavior to simple, or you can try mob + simp f/back. Works either way.

Change the mip profiles at the top to your 10 dig #@mycricket.com both NAI and Tethered Nai.

Click on the PPP config tab, once there click on UM button. inter the same off the the right (10 dig #@mycricket.com pass cricket)

:Side note to getting the hero to programming mode, setup htc sync and have the phone sync with it, then put the phone in programming mode ##DIAG#
