i have had the HTC hero for nearly 2weeks now. the remaining days of my old contract(400 mins unlimited txts) were added on, and my new contract(800mins unlimited txts and internet) kicked in 2 days ago...[orange sent me a texts to confirm this, telling me to switch phone off and on and delete the message after reading]...
Iv been using the WIFI on my new phone to connect to the internet until my unlimited internet bundle kicked in, however there seems to be no connection available still when WIFI is not available!
i dnt know why this is, as a friend has exactly the same phone and network and it works for her. hers has a little symbol at the top of the screen which shows its connected.
iv tried turning my WIFI off, to switch connections to the mobile automatically,(as it should), however it says under Mobile Network : 'connection failed due to incorrect APN setting'
i dnt know why this is ?!?!
settings are as follows :
Name: Orange Internet
APN: orangeinternet
Proxy, Port, Username, Password, Server, MMSC, MMS proxy, MMS port should all be saying <Not set> (Leaveing the value blank makes them <Not set>
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC:234
MNC:33
APN type <Not Set>
