HTC Hero, Data Call Failure 89

Hello,

I have an HTC Hero fully flashed over to cricket (did it myself).
About 25-50 times a day I'm getting a Data Call Failure error:

Data Call Failure
Error Code 98. Network Error. Sign in failed. Please wait a moment and try again. You may need to go to [Settings\PCS Vision] and select [Update Vision Profile]. If this problem persists, you may need to contact Sprint.

This will happen every single time I switch from 3g to wifi or if I lose 3g signal for a couple of seconds.

Is there a way to disable that error? Everything is working properly including WAP, MMS, Call, Text, etc. Just gives me that error everytime i Lose 3g for a minute.

Any solutions?

Would be nice to find a fix for this.
It's terribly annoying. It's an extra step to get into the phone, it interrupts texting, interrupts apps, just a very annoying error.

All phones lose signal from time to time, why must the phone make an effort to give me an error on every occurence? I can see the 3g symbol dissapear for a minute, i'm not retarded phone. X.x
 
Rom: DamageControl v1.0
Using the AnyCut to make the Proxy: wap.mycricket.com port 8080.

Used the exact instructions from the How to flash HTC Hero thread in this forum.

I tried this and I am still receiving the Error 89...
Just reflashed phone to Fresh2.0d and still receiving this error.

Looks like there is no hope.. :(

I just want this error to go away
 
That's amazing news to hear I'ma flash the newest fresh Rom 2.3.3 and hope it got fix on the upgrade but if not ill be heading over to Zen Rom too. Thanks up top ^^^
