HTC Hero and Dr Dre Monster Beats in-ear headphones?

HI,
I recently bought a HTC Hero... I don't want to use the one given by then...
i used to use an apple in-ear headphone but the mic isn't working the person I'm calling can't hear me talking...
so i want to know if i can use the mic on the Dr Dre Monster Beats in-ear headphones and the person i'm calling can hear me
