HTC G2 vs. iPhone 4 (was: iPhone the best on the market?)

I was very happy (and am still to an extent) with my iPhone until a friend of mine compared his new G2. I'm based out of Houston, Texas; when are we going to have 4G speeds? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJNZl7t7ws4 Video comparing the speeds of internet... not really even a comparison sadly.
 
4G tends to be an Android thing.

And in response to your title, yes. The iPhone used to be the best phone on the market. Until other smartphones came to the consumer base too... I'm talking about you, Android...
 
But not as customizable and lacking choice. G2 is also not a 4G phone (there is no true 4G phone yet) but does render websites (with flash also) faster than the Iphone 4.
