HTC explains why Android updates are slow

Have you ever wondering why Google take so long to release the updates for your Android handsets and why the Nexus One of Google always get the updates first ?

As the explain from Google that because the Nexus One is their handset and it would like to get the update first, no need to take time to custom UI again. But with the other Android handsets, Google releases the source code then the handset maker ports their custom UI to the latest firmware and finally the carrier tacks on their own applications and tweaks.

So it take so long. The solution for stop waiting is purchase Google handsets such as Nexus One.

It seems everything is pointing towards nexus one for my next baby. Hmm...samsung will have to really pack a punch with the galaxy to sway my vote!

i love Vanilla Android, but i aslo think that the HTC Sense UI is very good too. i'm enjoying my Incredible, and can probably wait for Froyo, but of course in the back of my mind, i want it on my phone already. a box popped up that i had an update, and i got all excited that it was Froyo, but it was just an update for one of my apps lol

Yeah, they make that so convienient and cost worthy to do , not to mention ive read the N1 has or had some big 3G issues. Id never buy a phone that i couldnt try out first.

very true. it's nice to play with the phone you're gonna buy, before you actually purchase it. plus, i will never leaver Verizon, so a Nexus isn't a choice

Yes, I total agree that Nexus One is perfect because it's working well and always get the latest version of Android faster than the others.

That's why you should to choose Nexus One.
