We're phone shopping to replace one obsolescent and one simply obsolete phone. Carrier is Sprint. (I am, by the way, not interested in suggestions about switching carriers, unless of copurse it's for a compelling reason like "The only phone I know that will meet your requirements is x, and it's only available on carrier y.") One of the phones under consideration is the HTC EVO 4G.
The #1 requirement I've been given by my spouse is that the phone must be able to sync calendar with her work calendar which is on Outlook. (Not Outlook Express, and it's not on Mcrosoft Exchange Server.) If the phone will do it out of the box that's great, ut if it will do it with the HTC Sync product that's OK. Syncing tasks and contacts would be nice, but are much less important.
Getting any real information from carriers (any carrier, not just Sprint) or hardware/software vendors (not just HTC) is like pulling teeth. But perhaps someone here has the experience to speak from knowledge about whther this phone will meet the requirements, and/or suggest other phones which will.
